Terms and Conditions
Last updated: December 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Tabula Belli website or any of its features, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not create an account and do not continue using the platform.
2. User Accounts
Some parts of Tabula Belli require a registered account. When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide true, current, and complete information
- Keep your login details private and secure
- Inform us as soon as you suspect any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for any actions carried out through your account
We reserve the right to deactivate or remove accounts that violate these Terms or are misused.
3. Event Creation and Management
Tabula Belli allows users to create and publish events. If you act as an event organizer, you agree to:
- Publish clear and accurate information about each event (date, time, location, format, capacity, rules, etc.)
- Refrain from creating events that are illegal, harmful, or fraudulent
- Manage registrations fairly (for example, not altering places arbitrarily once people are signed up)
- Inform registered participants as soon as reasonably possible about important changes, delays, or cancellations
Tabula Belli only provides the technical tool to list and discover events. We do not organize, supervise, or manage the events ourselves.
4. User Conduct
When you use Tabula Belli, you agree that you will not:
- Use the platform for any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Threaten, insult, harass, or abuse other users
- Publish content that is false, misleading, or intended to deceive
- Try to access areas of the platform or accounts that you are not authorized to access
- Interfere with the normal operation of the website (for example, by trying to overload the server or bypass security mechanisms)
We may remove content or restrict access to users who do not respect these rules.
5. Privacy and Personal Data
Your use of Tabula Belli is also subject to our Privacy Policy, where we explain what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
By using the platform, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in that policy and you confirm that the data you provide is accurate and belongs to you or that you are authorized to provide it.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- The name "Tabula Belli", the logo, and the design and layout of the platform belong to the project owners
- The software, texts, styles, and other original elements of the site are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
- You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works from the platform's content without explicit permission, except where this is allowed by law (for example, for private, non-commercial use)
Content created by users (such as event descriptions) remains the responsibility of the user who publishes it. By posting content on Tabula Belli, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform for as long as it is published.
7. Limitation of Liability
Tabula Belli is a project that is offered on an "as is" basis. This means that:
- We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, error-free, or perfectly secure
- We do not review or approve each event manually, and we are not part of the relationship between organizers and participants
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not responsible for damages, losses, or disputes that arise from events created or attended through the platform
- Each organizer is solely responsible for their event (safety, rules, prizes, payments, etc.)
- Each participant attends events at their own risk and must decide whether to trust the organizer and the conditions of the event
8. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
At this time, Tabula Belli does not process payments and does not act as an intermediary for money between users.
- Any fee, price, or payment related to an event is arranged directly between the organizer and the participants
- Any refunds, partial refunds, or financial disputes must be resolved directly between them
- We are not responsible for missing payments, refused refunds, or disagreements about prices or prizes
If in the future the platform integrates payment systems, the corresponding conditions will be added or updated in this section.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or close your account, or restrict access to parts of the platform, if we reasonably believe that:
- You have violated these Terms
- You are using Tabula Belli in a way that causes harm to the project, other users, or third parties
- We are required to do so by law, by a court order
When an account is terminated, access to certain features may be lost. Where possible and reasonable, we will try to notify you, but we are not obliged to keep copies of content or data associated with terminated accounts.
10. Changes to the Service and to These Terms
Tabula Belli is an evolving project, and both the platform and these Terms may change over time.
- We may add, modify, or remove features without prior notice
- We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do so, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, we will try to communicate it through the platform
If you continue to use Tabula Belli after changes have been published, we will understand that you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree with them, you should stop using the platform.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute related to the use of Tabula Belli shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the European Union and the relevant national legislation of the member state where the platform operates.
12. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms and Conditions, you can contact us through the Contact page of the website or by using the contact details indicated there.
